Disaster for West Ham as O'Neil backs off move

Martin O'Neil has rejected the offer to become West Ham manager. He is said to be disappointed with the way that the Hammers hierarchy has dealt with his proposed appointment.

Karen Brady is widely tipped to be the one to have given the media the "scoop" about O'Neil's appointment on Saturday morning.

A spectacular own goal as the Hammers players look disinterested against Arsenal as they knew a win would make them miss out on a manager of O'Neil's calibre.

Grant has remained dignified throughout but the West Ham board - particularly Karen Brady- has a lot to answer for.
