After signing Pienaar on wages of £75,000 a week, Spurs are trying to offload a few players as soon as possible.
Having the biggest squad in the league and one of the biggest wage bills, Spurs have refused loan bids from West Ham and Fulham for Robbie Keane.
The 31 year old is on a whopping £65,000 a week despite having played very little recently.
Spurs do not want to loan him out as they could be forced to keep the player next season if West Ham (for instance) get relegated and do not want to sign him permanently.
